A teacher at East Ridge High School was arrested on assault charges for the third time on Wednesday.

Grant Allen Blaylock, 52, was charged with aggravated domestic assault. He was previously arrested in Hamilton County in 1997 and 1998 on assault charges.

Blaylock was released from jail after this incident on a $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Hamilton County General Sessions Court before Judge Gary Starnes on Oct. 14.

Officials with Hamilton County Department of Education could not immediately confirm on Thursday whether Blaylock has been placed on suspension.

According to the East Ridge High School website, Blaylock teaches career management success.
