Baby killed in crash on Boy Scout Road

A baby was killed by a crash this morning on Boy Scout Road in Hamilton County.

At approximately 11 a.m. deputies responded to an single-car accident with injuries at the 1000 block of Boy Scout Road, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.

The car held four passengers, who were taken to a hospital. The infant was pronounced dead on arrival, the release said.

Because of the accident, Boy Scout Road from Moses Road to Hampton Woods was temporarily closed but it has now been officially reopened to traffic.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division is investigating.
