Chattanooga police: Two men shot in separate incidents

Chattanooga police say two people were injured Sunday in separate shootings.

The first incident occurred around 2:09 a.m., according to a news release. Police say a man with a gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle. He told police he had been shot near the 6500 block of East Brainerd Road.

The victim, identified as 22-year-old Hernon Jonathon Sandolval, sustained a single, non-life-threatening gunshot wound and is being treated at a local hospital.

He told police the suspects are three black males but was unable to provide any further information.

The second shooting occurred around 12:23 p.m. near the 200 block of West 38th St.

A local hospital reported that man with two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds arrived by personal vehicle and was being treated for those injuries.

The victim, 24-year-old Darrell Bridges, told investigators he had been walking on West 38th Street when he was shot. The suspect was described as being in a dark-colored sedan. Bridges did not provide any additional suspect description.

Police are investigating both incidents.
