20-year-old woman forced into truck and raped near elementary school, Chattanooga police say

A 20-year-old woman was forced into truck and raped near an elementary school, Chattanooga police say.

It reportedly happened in broad daylight before 5 p.m. Monday, according to a news release.

The victim told police she had been walking on the 3200 block of Calhoun St. when she began to be followed by a white male in a new black 2-door Ford truck.

The suspect allegedly made several lewd comments before exiting his truck, grabbing the woman from behind, and forcing her inside. While he drove to a different location he threatened and groped the victim, police said. The victim was driven to the 3700 block of 13th Ave., across from East Lake Elementary School, where the suspect allegedly forcibly raped her.

The suspect is described as:

o White male.

o Late twenties to early thirties.

o Approximately 5'7"

o 150-190 Lbs.

o Short brown hair.

o Unshaven.

o Glasses.

o Muscular with broad shoulders.

o Possibly a large tattoo on inner forearm.
