Holloway told police that Jenkins is his granddaughter's father and the two have known each other for a long time. He said Jenkins stole his mother's cellphone, and he confronted Jenkins to try to get the phone back. Holloway is expected to survive.

Jenkins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a weapon. So far, he is the only suspect involved in this weekend's shootings to be arrested.

Four other people were shot at locations stretching from East Brainerd to Alton Park between Friday and Monday, according to police. Investigators say the shootings are not connected.

Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, 22-year-old Hernon Sandolval arrived at a local hospital with one gunshot wound. He told police he was shot on East Brainerd Road and described three black males as the suspects.

Another victim arrived at a hospital shortly after noon on Sunday and told police he was walking on West 38th Street when someone opened fire from a dark-colored sedan. Darrell Bridges, 24, did not describe the suspects further.

And about 12 hours later, 21-year-old Anthony Visher was shot once while walking on Brainerd Road. He does not describe the suspect who shot him.
