Polk County shooting leaves one dead, one wounded

Authorities are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning in Elrod Circle in Turtletown, Tenn., that left one dead and another wounded.

When Polk County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene at 2:25 a.m., they found Chuck Adams and Annie Marie Gober lying in their driveway suffering from gun shot wounds.

Both were transported to Copper Basin Medical Center by ambulance then flown by helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.

Gober died from her injuries at Erlanger.

No other information is known at this time and the investigation is ongoing. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the District Attorney's Office is working with the sheriff's office in the investigation.
