Chattanooga police are investigating a homicide that happened inside a home on 4th Avenue around 1 p.m. today.

Police have no suspects and no indication of the motive, Capt. Nathan Vaughn said, but family members have identified the victim as Percy Allen IV, 20. Police confirmed the identify of the victim Tuesday evening.

"Somebody, I'm sure, knows what happened," Vaughn added.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the area. 5th Avenue and Dodds is reportedly shut down.

The shooting was called in at 2800 4th Ave.

Two people were reportedly shot at that same address earlier today, around 1 a.m. In that case, neither victim named a suspect and police say both were expected to survive.

Last month a store owner was also shot at 2800 4th Avenue.

Anyone with information about today's killing is asked to call police at 423-698-2525.
