Deputy under investigation after case evidence, marijuana found during eviction

A Hamilton County deputy is under investigation after case information and a small amount of marijuana were found during his eviction, a news release states.

According to the release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, civil process servers were attempting to evict a departmental employee from property on North Dent Road.

In the process, case information and packages, which also included an envelope containing a very small amount of suspect of marijuana, were found and were collected and secured, the release stated.

Sheriff Jim Hammond has instructed Internal Affairs to conduct an investigation concerning the property collected, according to the release.
