Two men were injured during a fight outside a party at 2000 E. 23rd Street early Sunday morning.

Ontario Price told Chattanooga police he had attempted to get away from a crowd outside the party when he heard multiple shots fired and he realized he had been shot.

Price was not able to provide a description of the suspect.

Later, police received a separate report that a pedestrian had been struck by a car in the same location and that he had been dragged some distance down the street.

Initially police were unable to identify a victim or a suspect but did find a car abandoned on the 1500 block of S. Hawthorne which they believed to be involved in striking the pedestrian.

A little over two hours later, a local hospital advised the police that the victim of the collision, George A. Watkins, was in the hospital.

Due to injuries sustained Watkins was transported to another local hospital for additional treatment. Watkins is currently in stable, but serious condition.

The Chattanooga Police Department is requesting assistance from anyone who may have additional information to call 698-2525.
