An 18-year-old man who fell 40 feet from Rainbow Falls has been brought out of the woods and is being flown to Erlanger hospital.

The man, whose name has not been released, fell early this afternoon, according to Hamilton County Emergency Services spokeswoman Amy Maxwell.

First responders said the man was in critical condition at midafternoon as some 50 emergency services volunteers from a half-dozen agencies cut trees, widened the trail and rigged ropes so the victim could be brought out.
