Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke allocated funding last year to ensure all students in Hamilton County have free access to the Chattanooga Public Libraries, which are city funded but charge county residents for membership. "No child should be charged to go to a public library," Berke said. "This initiative ensures that kids who are motivated to learn and discover new things have access to one of the best libraries in the country."
