MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The FBI has announced an increase in the reward money offered for those involved in a Memphis credit union robbery that involved a kidnapping.
Agents are looking for two men who kidnapped an employee who worked at one of the FAA Credit Union branches in June. Authorities say they took the employee from her home, drove her to the credit union and forced her to let them in the building and give them access to cash.
The reward now stands at $20,000.
The FBI says the suspects fled the credit union in the employee's vehicle. The car was later found abandoned.
Authorities say a dye pack exploded in the vehicle and the men may have had red ink on them after the June 8 robbery.
Both suspects were armed and wore wigs. Agents think others may be involved.
