An accident in Marion County between a Tennessee Highway Patrol Officer and a motorcyclist resulted in the death of the motorcyclist
A third vehicle was involved in the crash that occurred at mile marker 161. No one else was injured in the crash other than the motorcyclist whose identity is being withheld until the family is notified.
THP Lt. John Harmon said the crash happened at 2:13 p.m. Harmon confirmed THP is investigating the incident.
I-24 East closed after the accident until about 10 p.m. as THP worked to investigate and clean up the wreck.
