A man was was shot and killed in Chattanooga early this morning, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.
Police responded to a report of a shooting about 1:30 a.m. at the 200 block of Water Street near the Villages at Alton Park and found Marquise Jackson, 24, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel on the scene performed CPR but the victim succumbed to his injuries.
There is no suspect or vehicle description at this time. Chattanooga Violent Crimes Bureau investigators are following all actionable leads.
