An East Tennessee Endangered Child Alert has been issued for the Bradley County Sheriff's Office for 2-year-old Skyla Lashay Wilson, a white female child about 2 feet, 4 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green blouse with a stripe across it and green and white shorts.

The Bradley County's Sheriff's Office has named her noncustodial father, Michael Steven Wilson, 35, as the suspect of the endangered child alert.

Witnesses say they last saw Skyla with her father on Aug, 7. Relatives expected her home Sunday evening.

"Detectives at this time are interviewing potential witnesses, trying to locate Mr. Wilson," Chief Deputy Brian Smith in a media conference today.

Capt. Steve Lawson, who leads the criminal investigations division, said that detectives had spoke to "different people in different states" as part of the search for Wilson. Lawson did not disclose what states fell within the scope of the investigation so far.

During the conference, Dana Stanesic, the girl's aunt, spoke on behalf of the family and begged the public's help.

The tearful aunt described Skyla as a vibrant, bubbly and happy child.

Wilson drives a black 2014 Kia Soul bearing Tennessee license plate number V26-31U.

Anyone with any information about Skyla Lashay Wilson's whereabouts should call 1-800-TBI-FIND (423-728-7337).
