Overnight shootings send victims to hospital

There were two separate shootings within one hour of each other that sent multiple victims to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

Two teens suffered serious injuries this morning after officers found them suffering from gunshot wounds at 2:45 a.m. following a person shot call at the 2000 block of Sharp Street.

Both teens were taken to a local hospital. Their injuries are not life threatening.

Police are working to determine where the incident originally occurred. At this time a crime scene has not been located.

No credible suspect information has been provided to police at this time and investigators continue to follow all actionable leads.

Another shooting occurred nearly an hour earlier when a man was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting on the 2400 block of Windsor Street at about 1:50 a.m.

Jamario Gibson, 25, said he was standing next to Windsor Street about 1:30 a.m. when someone in a vehicle shot at him.

The injury did not appear to be life-threatening.

No vehicle description or credible suspect information has been provided to police. Investigators continue to follow all actionable leads.
