2 nabbed in Whitfield-to-Bradley pursuit

Two men were arrested in Bradley County on Sunday morning after a two-state chase ended when their vehicle collided with a patrol car.

Gregory Ratcliff and Kristopher Walbert are facing charges, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the collision between their vehicle and Whitfield County (Ga.) patrol car, according to a news release from the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

The pursuit started in Whtifield County before crossing the Tennessee state line.

Bradley County's Special Response Team arrested the two. Walbert tried to flee on foot, the news release said.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has charged Kristopher Walbert with leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license, unregistered vehicle, no insurance, failure to maintain lane, failure to exercise due care.
