Crews rescue man injured in fall at Pocket Wilderness

Crews rescued an injured man at the Pocket Wilderness this afternoon, according to a Hamilton County Emergency Services news release.

Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department responded at 11 a.m. to an emergency regarding a 36-year-old man who had fallen 10 feet and injured his ankle.

Rescue personnel found the injured party about a 1/4 mile into the woods. Hamilton County Emergency Services walked in the woods with rescue personnel to assist the patient's medical needs.

Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene for additional assistance.
