A summer storm that punched through Chattanooga on Sunday afternoon blew a tree down on a house on 13th Street, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Capt. David Thompson Jr. said in a news release no one was injured but the damage forced the family from their home. He said the American Red Cross was called to provide assistance.

Reports of power lines down and what could be lightning-caused fires were called in from several locations during and after the brief but powerful storm.
More storms are possible through the evening.
