The Dade County Library is increasing its operating hours effective Thursday from 30 to 34 hours per week and now will be open on Wednesdays, a news release states. Hours are changing on other days, as well.

New library hours will be as follows: Tuesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The additional hours were made possible by an increase in local funding, according to Chelsea Kovalevskiy, branch services librarian with the Cherokee Regional Library System.
