Shots fired lead to high-speed chase from Chattanooga to Bradley County that ends with gang members arrested, weapon seized

Two validated gang members and a woman were arrested Wednesday night after a high speed chase took officers from Shallowford Road to Bradley County.

A Chattanooga police officer heard several shots in the 7200 block of Shallowford Road shortly after 7:30 p.m. and saw a silver Saab Q5 speed from the area, according to a release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

The vehicle fled the scene onto Interstate 75 toward Bradley County where it exited at Exit 20 before getting back on the interstate heading south, according to the release.

The chase ended after a tire on the suspect's car blew, according to the release.

Officers arrested the suspects and recovered a gun from the scene, according to the release.

The three suspects were identified as Akello Miller, 20, Joseph Brooks, 20, and Hayley McCormack, 21.

They are in the process of being booked in Chattanooga. Charges are not available at this time.

Two people were shot outside Hamilton Place mall on Black Friday, which is near the 7200 block of Shallowford Rd. where Wednesday's shooting took place.
