A Cleveland High School student is now in custody in connections with threats made against a teacher.
"The student was suspended yesterday and made threats against a teacher today," Cleveland police spokeswoman Evie West said this afternoon.
Before the police apprehended the student, the school went into lockdown mode and requested additional police on campus in response to "veiled threats" made against school personnel on social media, Cleveland City Schools announced at 11:45 a.m. The lockdown was lifted shortly after noon.
West could not confirm whether officers took the student into custody at the school or another location.
The school system said student activities will continue as scheduled today.
