The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded to a person shot call at 4:20 a.m. this morning at Blanche Road, only to find it was accidental shooting involving a married couple.
After arriving on scene, authorities found out that the husband was asleep in the bedroom and was awoken by his wife, who had been downstairs in the kitchen working.
Startled, when the wife returned to the bedroom, the husband accidentally fired his weapon thinking his wife was an intruder.
The bullet grazed the wife's ear and caused no serious injury. The wife was transported to a local hospital for medical review.
Investigators are following up on scene.
