Juvenile suspect arrested after woman was robbed, carjacked at gunpoint

A juvenile was arrested Wednesday in connection with a robbery and carjacking, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Police received information from a Hamilton County school resource officer about a student who claimed to have information about a vehicle that was carjacked at the 3900 block of Murray Hills Drive.

A woman reported that she had parked her vehicle in a church parking lot Tuesday and was approached by two black males. One suspect pointed a gun at her and demanded her car keys and purse, she said. The victim complied and the two suspects left with the victims car.

Investigators interviewed the juvenile suspect Wednesday about the incident and the suspect was able to provide the location of the stolen vehicle which was then recovered.
