The Secret Service and the U.S. Marshals went along for the bust when Chattanooga police arrested a suspect in a late January shooting and robbery.

A police news release said the fugitive division tracked Barry Adams to a location in the 5600 block of Lake Resort Terrace and placed him under arrest.

Adams is charged in the Jan. 28 shooting of 26-year-old Joshua Ray in broad daylight in the 4300 block of Rossville Boulevard. Ray was wounded in the leg.

The release said officers with the fugitive and street crimes units worked with the federal officers to locate and arrest Adams.

He was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on charges of especially aggravated robbery, possession of ice methamphetamine for resale and initiating manufacture of methamphetamine.
