Committee ready to dig into Rep. Durham allegations

NASHVILLE - One of the lawmakers on a newly established committee tasked with leading the investigation into embattled Rep. Jeremy Durham's behavior said it's hard to predict what investigators could find once they start to dig.

"The scope of this could be huge. I hope that we can offer the attorney general's office some insight on which direction he needs to go," Rep. Andrew Farmer, R-Sevierville, said Friday afternoon.

"Something like this could turn into phone records, emails. It could be a big investigation, potentially. I'm concerned about that a little bit, because it could open Pandora's box here."
