Chattanooga-based Blood Assurance reports that it is in high demand of donors. The organization says it has just half of its 5-day target supply of most blood types. It currently has only one day stock in O negative blood.
Donations take about half an hour and help save lives of local patients. Blood Assurance urges donors to drink plenty of fluids and eat a hardy meal before donating.
