ATLANTA - Several hundred people are marching through downtown Atlanta, blocking traffic and chanting on the fourth straight night of protests over the police killings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.

At one point, a group of Georgia State Patrol officers tried to block their path down one street. But the officers, who did not have weapons drawn or any special gear beyond their standard uniforms, backed off and allowed the protesters to pass peacefully.

Marchers of all races chanted "Whose streets? Our streets" and "hands up, don't shoot" as they marched through downtown.

When the night began, police waited in convoys of squad cars to try to keep activists off highways.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said Sunday that police arrested nine of the 100 or so people marching Saturday night. On Friday night, as many as 10,000 people flooded the streets.
