A person fled after a shootout with Chattanooga police officers late Monday night, according to a press release from Kyle Miller with the Chattanooga Police Department.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Glass Street at approximately 11 p.m. after receiving a call about a person in the street with a firearm. Officers found the alleged suspect, according to the release.

The person pulled a firearm, according to the release, beginning a shootout with police officers before the alleged suspect fled.

There were no reported injuries, and there is no description of the alleged suspect at this time.

The incident is under investigation, according to the release.
