A man suspected of robbing the Circle K at 2800 South Dixie Highway on Tuesday has been arrested.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office says a man entered the store and waited until all of the customers left. He pulled out a large knife and demanded that the female cashier give him money from the cash register. Upon receiving the money, the suspect fled from the building on foot. Investigators were able to obtain a description of the suspect from video surveillance.

Investigators identified the suspect Wednesday as Christian Guzman-Pantoja, 20, and developed probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant.

Officers found the suspect suspect's vehicle Thursday on Liddell Street and found Guzman-Pantoja hiding in the attic of his girlfriend's apartment on Liddell Street.

The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody and the knife believed to have been used in the robbery was found after his arrest.

Guzman-Pantoja has been booked on a charge of armed robbery and is being held without bond.
