A Coffee County, Tenn., man was sentenced to nearly 22 years in federal prison in a methamphetamine conspiracy case, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Brian Lee "Bull" Fielding, 35, was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Chattanooga after pleading guilty in March to conspiracy and distribution of meth, a news release states.

The conspiracy lasted from at least January 2015 through September 2015. Fielding admitted he distributed at least a kilogram of the drug, starting right after he got out of prison for selling cocaine in a 2009 case, the release states.

Fielding's two prior drug convictions meant he was classified as a "career offender" under federal law, which affected the length of his sentence.

The release said agencies including the FBI, the Manchester and Winchester police departments, the Coffee County Sheriff's Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol worked on the case.
