Chattanooga mental hospital patient escapes while in police custody

A Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute patient escaped while on hold with the Shelbyville Police Department in Bedford County, according to a press release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

The patient, Brandon Robinson, is a 5-foot-9-inch white male who weighs 158 pounds. He was last seen in a navy Spider Man shirt and pajama pants. He is balding with blondish brown hair and some facial hair, according to the release.

He is 33 years old.

Police are asking anyone who sees Robinson to call 9-1-1.

The Chattanooga Police Department is working with the health institute to find the suspect, according to the release.
