Chattanooga police search for teen who stabbed woman in neck during fight

Police are searching for a 16-year-old girl they say stabbed a woman during a fight Tuesday afternoon near Dodds Avenue.

The 19-year-old victim arrived at the hospital about 4:30 p.m. with two stab wounds - one to the neck and another to the shoulder - according to a release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

When officers arrived, the victim told them she was stabbed when she and another woman got into a fight in the 3300 block Woodside Street. Her injuries are not non-life-threatening.

A warrant has been issued for the juvenile suspect, who is wanted on charges of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
