Chattanooga's The Crash Pad is in the running for America's Best Eco-Friendly Hotel in USA Today's 10 Best contest.
USA Today nominated 20 U.S hotels for the contest. Anyone 18 years old or older can vote in the online poll.
The Crash Pad is currently in second place in the contest. Voting is open until noon on August 1. Participants can vote once per category each day.
The Crash Pad is located in Chattanooga's Southside. Owners Max Poppel and Dan Rose, college roommates and climbing enthusiasts from Boston, opened the hostel in 2011.
