Road-rage suspect turns himself in

A man turned himself in to Chattanooga police and is facing charges in Friday's road-rage shooting on Dowlen Road, police said.

William Riden, 72, is charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm, according to a police news release.

The victim told police Friday morning that he got out of his own vehicle to confront a driver who had been following him too closely. He said the second driver shot him in the abdomen. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, police said.
