Drive-by shooting sends two men to hospital in Chattanooga

Two men were taken to a local hospital after becoming victims of a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in Chattanooga, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at the 2400 block of Glass Street about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday and found Vincent Houser, 37, and Adrian Atkins, 35, suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims were standing outside of business establishments at the address when an unknown assailant shot at them from a vehicle.

Officers established a crime scene and gave first aid to the victims.

Hamilton County Emergency Services responded and transported the victims to a local hospital. The injuries sustained by both victims were considered to be non-life-threatening.

No reportable suspect information is available at this time.
