Partnership for Families, Children and Adults names former city council member CEO

Former Chattanooga City Council member Pam Ladd has been named chief executive officer of the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults, according to a news release.

Ladd originally joined the organization in September 2015 as chief operating officer and interim CEO.

According to a release from the Partnership, in her role as interim CEO Ladd "led the Partnership through organizational changes to better align the agency with the strategic plan developed by the Board."

That included, "the broadening of community relations, identification of growth opportunities which meet the changing needs of the community and strengthening of Partnership's position as a leader in providing services."

"I've had the opportunity to work with Pam over the last 10 months and am convinced there is no better leader for Partnership today," said Partnership board Chairwoman Carol Mastey.

"All those we considered have the intellect, integrity, and charisma required for the position. Pam stood apart as a leader with an extraordinary ability to connect vision, people and ideas to drive strategy and execution.

According to the organization's mission statement, the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults has been serving the community for 136 years through professional counseling, crisis intervention, and prevention services. In 2015, their services affected the lives of over 38,000 people in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

Partnership is a United Way Member Agency and is accredited by the National Council on Accreditation. The organization provides several services to victims of domestic violence or families seeking guidance in conflict resolution by giving free or cost-adjusted assistance.

A longstanding pillar of the community, the Partnership was recognized by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce in 2006 as the Non-Profit Organization of the Year for "demonstrating excellence in non-profit management and community impact."

Mastey said, "The Board is confident that Pam's diverse and broad experience in community leadership and entrepreneurism as well as her passion for leading high-performing teams will continue [the organization's] success in responding to the evolving needs of the community."

In addition to serving on the Chattanooga City Council, Ladd was an Assistant Vice President at UNUM Provident, started and ran her own business for many years and also provided interim executive leadership to the Women's Fund of Chattanooga during their CEO search.

Ladd also received the "UnBought and UnBossed" award in 2013 and is a Chattanooga Woman of Distinction.

She was not immediately available to comment on the announcement Friday afternoon.
