Two men and two male juveniles were arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with numerous shots fired and shootings reports in the Chattanooga area.

During routine patrol about 1:15 a.m. near the 6000 block of Bonny Oaks Drive an officer observed a white Dodge Charger which was suspected to have been involved in multiple shots fired and shooting calls, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the suspect failed to stop. Instead, the suspect fled at a high rate of speed, lost control of the vehicle and crashed down a steep embankment.

The occupants of the vehicle then ran into the woods. Chattanooga Police Officers immediately contained the area in which the suspects were hiding.

One suspect was located and arrested without incident. Another suspect was located and apprehended by an officer and his K9. Two additional suspects were located and apprehended nearby the scene of the wreck.

The investigation revealed that the car was stolen. Inside the vehicle police found an assault rifle and two handguns.

Anthony Jackson, 26, was charged with possession of cocaine for resale and Cadarrius Sales, 22, and two juvenile males were charged with evading arrest. Additional charges are pending.
