60-year-old man injured in Chattanooga house fire

A man sustained second-degree burns on his arms Saturday afternoon during a fire at his home, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Spokesman Bruce Garner said firefighters were called about 5:45 p.m. to the 3200 block of Sixth Avenue and found the home's back porch ablaze.

Firefighters doused the flames in about five minutes.

The 60-year-old man had burns on both forearms and was taken to Erlanger hospital for treatment.
