Police information officer Mark Frazier said in an email statement that reports of a shooting from the venue were "unsubstantiated."

Numerous social media users posted early Sunday morning about an apparent altercation at Southside Social, which is located at 1818 Chestnut Street, across from Finley Stadium.

"Some coward did a drive by shooting tonight at my job," wrote one Facebook user who lists himself as a Southside Social employee. "Saw people running for their lives but noone was hurt. Yall be safe and careful at work. There are crazy, messed up people in this world. If anyone needs a reason to drink tonight, drink to the safety of the staff and patrons of Southside Social."

Southside Social was open Sunday but a spokesperson for the restaurant offered no comment.
