Four Alabama teens charged in Pisgah home invasion

Jackson County, Ala., authorities have charged four Scottsboro teens, three of them minors, in a home invasion where they forced their way into a woman's home in Pisgah on Tuesday, tied her up and held her at gunpoint while they burglarized her home.

The underage teens were charged as adults due to the severity of the crime, authorities said.

Jallen Hammonds,16, Tyson Woods, 16, Dylan McQueen, 17, and Hector Guevara, 18, all of Scottsboro, were each charged with burglary, first degree, kidnapping first degree, robbery, first degree, possession of burglary tools, three counts of theft of property, second degree, and menacing, officials said in a statement.

No bonds have been set.

Jackson County deputies found the resident, a woman who told them several male subjects forced their way into her home on Wann Circle.

Supplied with information from a witnesses, authorities issued a description of the foursome and their vehicle.

Scottsboro Police Department officers spotted a black SUV occupied by suspects matching the description they'd been given on Alabama Highway 35 near the Tennessee River bridge. The officers stopped the SUV and detained the teens, according to officials.

Inside the SUV officers found property taken in the burglary along with pistol, rubber gloves, head covers and burglary tools believe to have been used in the break-in, authorities said.

The pistol is thought to have been taken several weeks ago in a car break-in near the boat docks at Jackson County Park.

The total value of the property recovered in the investigation is $5,740, officials said.
