Police in Dalton, Ga., say the man whose body was found Saturday afternoon in a local creek is Charles Franks, 50.
Police spokesman Bruce Frazier said Franks was previously reported missing to the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office. Next of kin has been notified.
Frazier said two juveniles who were going fishing found the man's body in Mill Creek near Underwood Street, between Rushmore and Bermuda Streets.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division found no evidence of foul play, but the body will be sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy to determine cause of death, Frazier said.
