Thieves steal car, burglarize vehicles in East Brainerd, Ooltewah [video]

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is warning people to lock their car doors after a string of vehicle burglaries and a car theft in Ooltewah and East Brainerd.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2009 Nissan, Murano, dark blue in color.

Thieves targeted four subdivisions and burglarized numerous unlocked vehicles through the night Monday into Tuesday morning. Items stolen by the thieves were weapons, cash and computer tablets.

The Sheriff's Office is reminding the community to lock their vehicles at all times, do not leave their keys in their cars and to remove all valuables should be removed prior to leaving the vehicle.

Anyone having information concerning these thefts should contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office immediately at 423-209-8940.

The HCSO is currently investigating these burglaries and will offer additional information once details become available.
