A Rock Spring man who was indicted on rape charges nearly 14 years ago was arrested this weekend.

Jerry Lee Pruitt, 57, was booked in the Hamilton County Jail Saturday on aggravated burglary and rape charges. He is being held without bond. Clerks were unsure today when Pruitt will make his first appearance in Criminal Court.

His charges stem back to Aug. 7, 2002, when a grand jury indicted him for breaking into a woman's home and raping her in 1999. The Times Free Press does not usually name victims of sexual assault. And details of the 1999 incident are unavailable since Pruitt's case went straight to the grand jury.

On Aug. 8, 2002, authorities issued a warrant - but it wasn't executed until Saturday, nearly 14 years later, records show.

Authorities were not immediately available for comment. Neither was Pruitt's listed attorney.

Check back later for more details.
