HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A Madison County assistant district attorney has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Media outlets report that according to jail records, Thomas Paul Barnett was arrested Saturday morning. He was released on a $1,000 bond the same day.
Madison County District Attorney Robert L. Broussard confirmed to WAFF-TV that Barnett is a prosecutor in his department.
No further details have been released.
It wasn't immediately clear if Barnett has an attorney.
