Tracy City, Tenn., authorities continue to seek two men involved in a shooting on Monday afternoon that left one man with a bullet wound to his leg.

The shooting victim has been identified as James Cody Hill, Tracy City Police Chief Charlie Wilder said. Wilder said this morning that he had just visited with Hill who is now recovering at home.

Hill told authorities that two unknown white men in their late-20s or early-30s came to his door around 3 p.m. CDT Monday.

"They went into the victim's house demanding drugs. The victim said he didn't have any drugs and the suspects then shot him in the leg," Wilder said. The men took about 100 oxycodone pills from the home

The bullet - fired from a small-caliber, semi-automatic handgun - struck Hill above the knee. The slug was left in place for now, the chief said.

Officers canvassed the neighborhood Monday talking with neighbors but so far have developed no suspects, Wilder said.

The two men are described as white and in their late-20s or early-30s, authorities said.

Anyone with any information on the incident or whereabouts of the two suspects should call the Tracy City Police Department at 931-592-9711.
