One of two suspects in the Oct. 5 slaying of LaRhonda Spence has been arrested, according to a Chattanooga police news release
Chaztus D. Whaley, 20, has been charged with second-degree homicide. The release gave no details about the arrest or the motive for the crime.
The shooting took place around 8 p.m. on Oct. 5 in the 3200 block of Seventh Avenue, police said.
Spence was taken to a hospital by personal vehicle and died there.
At the time, police said they were looking for two persons of interest, Whaley and 28-year-old Aurica Leslie.
Wednesday's release didn't mention Leslie.
