Dalton police seek help finding Walmart shoplifting suspects

The Dalton Police Department is looking for help identifying two people who they say shoplifted a laptop from Walmart by jamming it down the pants of one of the suspects while the other served as a lookout.

The alleged theft happened at the Shugart Road Walmart at approximately 3 p.m. on October 2. Two suspects were caught on camera and arrived together in a dark-colored Dodge Durango, according to a release from Dalton police.

The pair went directly to the electronics section at the back of the store and the woman looked out for witnesses while the man unclipped a display laptop from its base.

He then shoved the laptop down the front of his pants and left through the grocery store exit while she left through the pharmacy exit.

The stolen laptop is a silver HP computer, model number 15AU018WM with the serial number 5CD61953JY and is valued at $799.

The man wore a red and white striped v-neck t-shirt with blue jeans and a dark baseball cap and he appears to have facial hair in surveillance images. The woman is described as heavyset and wore glasses with dark hair and she wore a dark t-shirt and jeans.
