One of the victims in Sunday's shooting has been identified as 33-year-old Jimmy McCane.

McCane was killed early Sunday morning on Wilder Street in Chattanooga and was an innocent bystander, Chattanooga police chief Fred Fletcher said Monday morning.

The other victim was identified as 39-year-old Kristy Foster, who suffered from non-life-threatening injuries, according to a news release.

The incident happened at Jay's Bar around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Seven people were shot in four separate incidents in the city over the weekend. The other six victims have injuries that are not life threatening.

Fletcher credited fall break with being a boon for violence.

The latest shooting incident occurred Sunday night near East Lake Park. Two people, one male and one female, were shot.
