The northbound on-ramp from M.L. King Boulevard to U.S. Highway 27 north will close Saturday for three months, the Tennessee Department of Transportation says.
In a news release, spokeswoman Jennifer Flynn said closing the ramp completely will allow the latest phase of construction to be completed in three months rather than a year.
She said that to help traffic move while the ramp is closed, the contractor will construct a temporary left turn lane on eastbound MLK Boulevard to allow traffic to access the alternate on-ramp to U.S. 27 North.
